Nana first, owner of CDI second! That is Susan's philosophy on life; however, you couldn't tell if you visited her beautiful 2 1/2 acres where both her house and warehouse sit! Susan has molded a wonderful and successful business in 9 years, and she looks forward to passing it down for generations!
As an artist, seamstress and writer, Susan started Cherry Designs, Inc. in 2000 by turning her whimsical designs into high quality blown glass ornaments that have been enjoyed by many all over the world.
CDI was started because of her love of holidays, Christmas being at the top! This love can be contributed to her late fathers passion for spending time with the family during holidays. You could always find him decked out in his button down red shirt during Christmas.
During the past 9 years Susan and her son, David, have worked hard to establish a relationship with all of their customers by giving them high quality product with great customer support! As artists, quality is most important to them, that is why the inspect each ornament before it is shipped out! Their customers memories are just as important and so new for 2009 they came up with their Lifetime guarantee.
In the past few years, the way business is being run has changes, with twitter and facebook and the economy, so Susan and David had decided they better change with it.
One of the biggest changes they made in 2009 is that they have decided to get back to what they know best, and that is art! They each have come out with new lines with their artwork and are all made here in the United States, which was very important to them. Later in the year they hope to share their art in their new Art Gallery that is located in their warehouse!
